Please Take Our Filene 30 under 30 Survey!
As I relayed in previous posts, I am part of the new 30 under 30 program through the Filene Research Institute. We are a group of young whippersnappers developing solutions for credit unions to better serve young adults (ages 18 to 30). Similar to Filene's i3 concept, the 30 under 30 group is broken up into ten groups, where each of us is working on a different product/idea to recruit/retain young adult employees, volunteers and of course, members. The group I am working with is working on developing a credit union savings product for young adults. It is a fresh spin on prize-linked savings accounts (still a fresh approach on its own), accounts that award prizes as part of the saving product's return.
Here is a short description of ours:
Prized-Based Savings for Young Adults ("Win-Win Savings")
How can credit unions appeal to young adults to save money in a way that is meaningful, fun, exciting and rewarding? Enter prize-based savings accounts with prizes and messaging tailored to young adults. Everybody wins! Unique to this product is that the sweepstakes is two-fold - a prize of a similar dollar amount is given to a local charity (money or goods they need) picked by the young adult when opening their account. Prizes to young adults are items such as tuition assistance, free food for a month, iPhones, etc. There is an annual grand prize state-wide (or Nationally) for all participating credit unions, and quarterly prizes on an individual credit union basis.
As part of our research, we have put together a short survey for young adults in order to better help us tailor our product.
